Fifth annual takeover of Anthony’s Runway 84 funds breast screenings for uninsured and underinsured women

Every dollar goes toward screenings for women who would otherwise go without, and we’re proud to play a part in that.”

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL, UNITED STATES, November 5, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The Red Meat Lovers Club (RMLC), the philanthropic dining and business networking club founded by Evan Darnell, raised $14,000 for Pinkball at “The Family Feast,” its Oct. 19 full buyout of Anthony’s Runway 84 in Fort Lauderdale.

Pinkball, founded by local baseball moms, funds screening and diagnostic mammograms and breast ultrasounds for uninsured and underinsured women who may not qualify for other grants.

The night, themed “Meatballs for Mammograms,” marked the fifth year of RMLC’s partnership with Josie Williams and the Runway 84 team. Guests worked through the restaurant’s menu across meat and pasta stations, with hundreds of meatballs scooped and served by RMLC founder Evan Darnell himself. A live auction, silent auction and raffle drove the night’s giving.

The top auction item was a “golden ticket” donated by Anthony’s: a reservation for four that lets the winner walk in on the restaurant’s busiest night and take the next open four-top. RMLC founder Evan Darnell calls it the ultimate Goodfellas moment. It sold twice at $1,600 each, bringing in $3,200 total.

“Anthony’s has hosted this night for five years, and the room keeps showing up for Pinkball,” said Darnell. “Every dollar goes toward screenings for women who would otherwise go without, and we’re proud to play a part in that.”

RMLC’s season continues Nov. 5 with The Steakhouse Takeover of Jay’s in Fort Lauderdale, followed by its Friendsgiving Thanksgiving drive on Nov. 20 at Smoke Inn Boynton Beach. Details are at rmlclub.com.
