Aksesuar Design publishes starting prices for custom German kitchen cabinets

Aksesuar Design in Alexandria says custom German kitchen cabinetry starts at $15,000 for a small kitchen, $35,000 for a medium kitchen and $55,000 for a large kitchen. The studio is clarifying what those prices include as DC-area homeowners weigh cabinetry-only projects against full remodels.

Why it matters: - Aksesuar Design is trying to reduce confusion between cabinetry-only pricing and full kitchen remodeling budgets. - The studio’s published starting prices give homeowners in Northern Virginia, Washington, DC and Maryland a clearer benchmark before they request a quote. - The pricing structure matters because countertops, appliances, construction and installation are billed separately unless a proposal includes them.

What happened: - Aksesuar Design, a European kitchen studio in Alexandria, Virginia, published starting prices for custom German kitchen cabinets. - The studio says cabinetry starts at $15,000 for a small kitchen, $35,000 for a medium kitchen and $55,000 for a large kitchen. - The figures cover cabinetry only. - The studio works with homeowners across Northern Virginia, Washington, DC and Maryland.

The details: - The cabinetry is built to order in Germany. - Final pricing depends on the kitchen size, cabinet configuration, materials, internal storage and selected details. - Before a homeowner commits, Aksesuar Design draws the kitchen in photorealistic 3D and provides a specification and quote. - The quote itemizes every cabinet, front, countertop, handle and internal fitting. - Production and delivery typically take a few months after design approval. - The studio’s project records group completed kitchens into the same three size categories used in the price list. - Many of those project records show the cabinetry cost. - A complete remodel includes design, cabinetry, countertops, appliances, construction, delivery and installation. - Countertops, appliances, construction and installation are priced separately from cabinetry unless a proposal includes them. - A cabinetry project usually means the layout stays the same, with new cabinets, countertops and hardware in the existing plan. - A remodel usually means walls move, services relocate and permits are required. - Homeowners can send photographs or plans through the estimate form on the studio’s website. - Homeowners can also bring photos or plans to the showroom at 5700 General Washington Dr Unit E in Alexandria. - The studio’s social links include LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok and Pinterest.

Between the lines: - Sam Kanberoglu said the first question is whether the room stays as it is. - Kanberoglu said homeowners should budget for cabinets, countertops and installation when the room does not change. - Kanberoglu said homeowners should budget for construction, with cabinets as one line item among several, when walls are moving. - The pricing explanation suggests Aksesuar Design is positioning itself against apples-to-oranges comparisons with firms that bundle different scopes into one headline number.

What's next: - Homeowners who are unsure whether they need cabinetry or a remodel can use photos or plans to request an estimate. - The studio can then issue a quote based on the room’s scope and layout. - Production and delivery will follow design approval for projects that move forward.

The bottom line: - Aksesuar Design is spelling out what its starting prices do, and do not, include so DC-area homeowners can budget more accurately before starting a kitchen project.
